Slovak court orders former tunnel builder to pay state
A similar shift from dispute to consequence appears in Slovakia. A court ruled that the former contractor for the Višňové tunnel should pay the state about €35m in an arbitration dispute over the D1 motorway project. This is not a new tender, of course. But it is a sharp reminder that on major transport jobs, contract failure can echo for years, and suppliers need to price legal and delivery risk carefully when they enter these projects.
