Ghana secures €323m for water shortage works
Ghana gives us a different kind of water signal. There, the government secured financing to fix water shortages in Tamale, Yendi and Damongo: a €225m concessional facility from the European Investment Bank plus €98m in grants. No tender timetable is stated in the source, so we should not pretend one exists. Still, funding of that size changes the seriousness of the pipeline. Water suppliers, engineers and delivery partners now have a project base to monitor, not just a policy ambition.
