Mining, basic metals and related products in Colombia

In Colombia, the source describes a reform effort by the De La Espriella government to remove what it calls a bottleneck for investments. Prior consultation has affected energy, infrastructure, mining and hydrocarbons projects for years, according to the report. It is still a reform effort, not a contract notice. But if it changes how those processes run, suppliers tracking major schemes will care because project timing often decides when procurement becomes real.

Otnox Radar, episode 20. €18bn for repairs sounds huge, but what gets delayed when maintenance jumps the queue? 10 countries in this episode, with procurement signals across infrastructure, energy, defence and access rules. • The Netherlands is shifting €18bn into ageing infrastructure. That can lift maintenance demand while other projects slip. • Romania launched a RON53m geothermal heating tender in Călimănești. Engineering and energy infrastructure suppliers have a live public bid to track. • Port Moresby domestic terminal expansion works at Pima reached 40%. That confirms delivery is active and points to later packages. • Tanzania says 3,466 government tenders went to special groups. That is a concrete signal on who is winning public business. Every item comes from a public source, with the link on the episode page.

Colombia is not opening a tender today, but it may be changing the timetable for many future ones. The Interior Ministry has published a draft decree so environmental licences and prior consultation can run at the same time. The stated aim is to unblock infrastructure, mining, hydrocarbons and power projects. If that draft becomes policy, suppliers following large projects could see shorter pre-procurement phases.
