Colombia drafts parallel permitting for major projects

Colombia is not opening a tender today, but it may be changing the timetable for many future ones. The Interior Ministry has published a draft decree so environmental licences and prior consultation can run at the same time. The stated aim is to unblock infrastructure, mining, hydrocarbons and power projects. If that draft becomes policy, suppliers following large projects could see shorter pre-procurement phases.
